*11th and 12th Grade may be combined and completed in a single year.

1.The student may start with General Math, Consumer Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, or Geometry as appropriate to his/her level. To qualify for a highschool diploma, the student must complete Algebra I.

2.The order of Physical Science and Biology may be interchanged; alternatively, General Science may be taken in place of Physical Science or serve as a 3rd science course in 11th grade. Earth Science and Life Science are other options if they have not been previously taken in grades 6 through 8. Medical Controversies may be taken as a 3rd science following biology and physical science.

3.World History, U.S. History, and Civics & Economics may be taken in any order during 10th, 11th and 12th grade. Social Studies is not normally taken in 9th grade.

4.An elective is not required in the 9th grade (reducing the total no. of 9th grade classes to 5). One or two electives may be taken each year as needed/desired. 5.Alternatively, any one of the following subjects qualify: Spanish (or other language), Draw Today or Paint Today, World Literature, Medical Controversies, Theater, Journalism, Photography, Beginning Speech, Advanced Speech. The requirement for foreign language, visual/performing or language arts may be fulfilled during any high school grade.
